MIACCA, the State of Michigan’s chapter of the ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America), is comprised of professional Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration mechanical contractors who are active in their industry.  We regularly participate in state and national legislative and regulatory issues, work with state inspectors, conduct professional training seminars, provide updated communication on our ever changing industry, and provide a platform for Mix Groups, which allow contractors of similar size to share information with other contractors across the country.

As a MIACCA Member, along with information available on our website awww.miacca.org you will have access to a tremendous amount of information and resources unavailable to non-members.  You will receive MIACCA monthly newsletters, both electronically and in print, which provide helpful tips and important updates occurring at the State level.  In addition, you will receive special Member discounts on our offering of classes, training materials and code manuals.  HVAC industry associates offer trade/member specific services including insurance and assistance with Workman’s Compensation issues, taxes, legal advice, and equipment leasing.

An important part of any organization is the opportunity to network.  Every year, MIACCA hosts two trade shows, two golf outings and a state membership conference.  As a member, you will receive opportunities to participate as well as email updates for the events.  In addition, you will also receive an attractive MIACCA wall plaque to display in your office.

As a Member of MIACCA, you will also receive a membership to ACCA, the national organization.  This gives you an additional set of resources to enhance your business.

Business and technical tools which include sales and marketing tips, answers to legal questions, surveys, Mix Groups, forms library, customer retention newsletters, technical bulletins and answers to technical questions, ANSI Standard activities, and Manual J Residential Design Center online are also member benefits.

An important area on www.aaca.org is the Consumer Information section.  A consumer can enter the ACCA website and type in their zip code when looking for a MIACCA contractor.  This will give them a list of local area MIACCA Mechanical Contractors based on the mile radius they select.

In the events and training area members have available the Annual ACCA Conference, EPA Certification, Service Managers Forum, Building Performance Forum, Hydronics Roundtable, on-demand webinars, and technical & business training.  There is also Comfort U, 24/7 online training classes.

To keep our members up to date, they will receive the following publications:  ACCA Insider, ACCA Buzz Newsletter IE3 communications magazine, free ACHR News subscription, and IE3 connect.

To summarize, being a MIACCA Member is an investment in your business.  We are at work for you to provide you with a voice in our legislative and regulatory affairs, help to educate and inform you, and to provide a means for communication for you within our industry.
